Checkpoint 5: Esplanade Park.

The Esplanade Park is one of the oldest parks in Singapore. It was built in 1943 and redeveloped in 1991.

This park was built on reclaimed lands. The main activity that the public can do in this park is photography.

This seafront promenade was known as Queen Elizabeth Walk in 1953.
This was done in honour of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953.

The Esplanade Park is part of the Civic District 1 path, and within the park, it consists of other monuments such as the Lim Bo Seng memorial, the Cenotaph and Tan Kim Seng Fountain. The park is located next to the Esplanade Theatres, where by it is one of Singapore's most famous landmarks.
